• Professional Development Dues: Employees have the opportunity to apply for professional development funding to cover their annual dues for professional organizations relevant to their positions. This support encourages employees to engage with industry associations and stay connected with the latest developments in their field.
• Coaching and Mentoring Programs: The Commission on the Status of Women Staff Mentoring Program provides opportunities for employees to connect with experienced mentors who can provide guidance, support, and advice.
• Supervisor Training Support: Barrett recognizes the importance of effective supervision and offers programs specifically designed to enhance the skills and capabilities of supervisors. The Emerging Supervisor Program and Supervisor Development Program provide valuable training and resources to help supervisors excel in their roles, manage teams effectively, and drive organizational success.
• Career Edge:Employees need to keep their skills up to date or acquire new ones relevant to their roles. They can make use of Career Edge, accessing tutorials and various learning initiatives to facilitate this progression.

Tuition Reduction

ASU employees can take advantage of a tuition reduction when enrolling in classes. For further information, kindly refer to SPP 505 and complete the tuition reduction form.

Committee service opportunities

Barrett encourages employees to serve on various committees as part of its commitment to fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment. City Nature Challenge

Semi-annual service projects

Semi-annual service projects: As an organization, we hold the view that community engagement and contribution are of importance. Committee participants collaborate to organize an event open to volunteers interested in offering their support.

ASU Staff Council

Employees have the opportunity to assume the role of a representative on the university-wide staff committee, affording them the chance to contribute to the university's mission.
