Training and software
Event planning involves employing a diverse array of tools. The planner should acquaint themselves with these platforms to explore how they can be optimally utilized to enhance the process of orchestrating a successful event.
System access and training
- ASURITE ID (to access Special Events Registry form)
- ServiceNow for IT tickets
- Trello for MKT requests - Event planners should meet with the MKT team for training/access
- Stova (Event Management System): This is the university system to support events. Event planner are encouraged to review the videos provided and participate in training sessions as the come available.
- SunDevilSync guides - Event planners should work with student services for training and review the training video on this system.
- Workday (ASU Financial Management System) - Supervisors will provide specific training for their unit on how items should be tagged. Event planners can participate in Business Operations or attend office hours to receive specific answers or training.
- Classroom technology
- Barrett Internal Events Calendar (Google spreadsheet) - Event planners should work with student services to gain access and to receive information on how items should be entered into the sheet.
- Quickpay (ServiceNow ticket to get access)
Complete Special Events Registry
- All in person events require this 30 days in advance: Guidelines for In-Person Events and Meetings.
- Complete the Special Events Registry Form based upon the required guidelines.
