AI Risk Management Training

For those interested in AI as it pertains to safety and ethical use, this training is available to all staff, faculty and students:

Learn cyber-secure methods of leveraging AI through the new AI Risk Management and Responsible Use training.

Though Artificial Intelligence (AI) models provide convenient solutions that enhance workflows, these tools are not without risk. To ensure the community can maximize their AI use without compromising the safety and security of their data, Enterprise Technology has developed an AI Risk Management and Responsible Use training course. Available online through Canvas, this new training will outline how to identify unique security risks associated with AI models and provide guidance for mitigating these threats. Maximize your data privacy and enjoy AI-powered tools with confidence: visit the Canvas course today.

Changes to How Email is Delivered

Changes to How Email is Delivered at ASU

As part of the evolving governance landscape, major email service providers such as Google, Yahoo, and Apple are implementing changes to enhance email security. Starting February 1, 2024, it is mandatory for senders to have DMARC (Domain-based Message Authentication, Reporting, and Conformance), SPF (Sender Policy Framework), and DKIM (DomainKeys Identified Mail) settings configured correctly for email authentication. ASU Open Door 2024 Volunteers

Every year ASU invites the local community to visit any of its campus locations, allowing visitors to explore the innovative spaces accessible only to ASU students. Visitors have the opportunity to participate in hundreds of interactive activities and talk to students, faculty and staff. Volunteers have the opportunity to assist with this fun and exciting event at each campus! We’re looking for volunteers to act as ASU ambassadors to share your knowledge and unique perspectives to visitors of all ages. Who better than ASU staff, faculty, alums, and students to enhance their experience? For many this will be their very first visit to a college campus, so help us ensure they have the best possible experience.

Volunteers are provided a hearty lunch, t-shirt, snacks, and soft drinks, not to mention the fun and rewarding experience and camaraderie with others within the ASU community. Volunteer with a friend, or group to show your ASU spirit! Earn 3 to 6 volunteer hours at each event.

In this role you will welcome attendees to campus and assist them with the registration process. You also get to make the kids happy by handing out the free goodies. Training will be provided; instructions will be emailed a week or two before each event.

We truly appreciate all the work that goes into hosting the Open Door Events, and thank everyone for their time, commitment, support and dedication.

Be a volunteer at Open Door!

The I AM Mentoring program is looking for mentors interested in working with a mentee, who will be a student registered through SAILS. These students are generally looking for academic support and executive functioning help relating to time management, organization, and planning. The mentees may also be looking for  peer support that could turn into a friendship.

The I AM Mentoring requirements are quite simple, be proactive in engaging with your mentee with requirements that you meet at least bi-weekly with a preference on weekly meetings. Be in your second academic year or later at Arizona State University. Benefits of becoming a mentor include developing new leaderships skills, an additional resume bullet point relating to on campus leadership and creating new relationships with fellow Sun Devils. Please reach out to Sawyer Miller via email: [email protected], if you are interested in becoming a mentor or complete the mentor application form on their website.
