New Staff Member at Poly

The Barrett Polytechnic team is excited to introduce our new Office Coordinator, Barbara Barthold. Barb will be managing the front desk, the Barrett Poly facilities, and coordinating purchasing and financial records for the Poly team. We are looking forward to the experience and enthusiasm she will be bringing to Barrett!

An introduction from Barb:

I am extremely excited to start this new journey with the Barrett Honors team! 

My family and two dogs; Gizmo & Skippy, relocated from Pennsylvania to Arizona in January 2023. I lived in Pennsylvania my entire life but love to travel. I love listening to music, horseback riding, relaxing at wineries with acoustic vibes, camping, cruises and Broadway shows. My family is exploring & appreciating the many hiking opportunities here in Arizona. Aside from the obvious love for my two sons, Owen & Cade, I love most animals…Arizona scorpions and snakes didn’t quite make the list!  After a lifelong ambition of mine, I recently became a horse owner to a 11-year-old Quarter Horse that our family named “Hero”.

I graduated with High Honors at Career Institute of Technology for Computer Technology and graduated from Allentown Business School for Web Design and Technology. 

I worked at Merrill Creek Reservoir in Washington, New Jersey as the Office Administrator. It was a rewarding opportunity to not only manage the office operations, but to help visitors and participate in rare opportunities like banding juvenile bald eagles and tagging Monarch butterflies.

I joined EMD Electronics (formerly Air Products) 19 years ago. I started as an Administrative Assistant where I supported an office of over 50 employees and advanced into my latest position as the Project & Process Enablement Manager. A few of my primary accomplishments during my tenure were developing work instructions, financial reporting, establishing internal and external business relationships, managing an exceptional support team and successfully implementing continuous improvement and business projects.

I’m looking forward to investing my passion for going above and beyond and sharing my joyful personality with the students, staff and visitors. Thank you for this opportunity!
